On April 16th, friends and family gathered to celebrate and honor a very special person in the history of our Club.
We were proud to dedicate our Game Room in memory of James A. Coatsworth, former Executive Director from 1992–2008, and a man who helped shape the very heart of the Boys & Girls Club of Elma, Marilla & Wales.
Jim wasn’t just a leader, he was a mentor, a friend, and someone who truly believed in the power of the Boys & Girls Club and the kids we serve.
Jim had a gift. He could take the simplest moment and turn it into something fun and meaningful, something kids would remember. He connected with young people in a way that made them feel seen, valued, and important.
Every laugh, every game, and every moment of joy in this space is a reflection of Jim and what he meant to this Club.
We are honored to now call this space the James A. Coatsworth Game Room.

We are proud to dedicate our Gymnasium in memory of George R. Blair Jr., a true champion of the Boys & Girls Club of Elma, Marilla & Wales.
George’s dedication to this Club and the youth we serve was unwavering. He believed deeply in the importance of providing a safe, positive place for kids to grow, compete, and build confidence and he supported that vision in every way he could.
The gym is the heart of so much of what we do, a place filled with energy, teamwork, and connection. It’s where kids learn resilience, sportsmanship, and the value of working together. Those values reflect the spirit of George and the impact he had on this Club.
His legacy lives on in every game played, every practice held, and every young person who walks through these doors.
We are honored to now call this space the George R. Blair Jr. Gymnasium.
